Chicago Machine News Release

On the day the Riptide swirls into Chicago to take on the Machine, Lacrosse America founder, Rich Martin, will drop the first face-off ball. Martin founded Lacrosse America back in 1991 to help develop the sport of lacrosse in the Chicagoland area. Since then, over 20,000 athletes have participated in Lacrosse America events and the organization continues to grow as it provides a multitude of lacrosse programs for individuals who have a love for the game. Programs offered by Lacrosse America span from youth camps to adult leagues and range geographically from Chicago and its' surrounding suburbs to multiple locations in Wisconsin.

"Lacrosse America has done an amazing job of bringing the sport of lacrosse to the region," said Machine Head Coach Kevin Finneran. "Rich Martin's vision created the foundation for the exponential growth of lacrosse in Chicago and Lacrosse America's programs continue to foster a love for the game of lacrosse."
