Lacasse Shuts Out Monsters 4-0

Hamilton, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs earned their second shutout victory over the Lake Erie Monsters 4-0 on Friday in front of 5,035 at Copps Coliseum. The win was the second shutout of Loic Lacasse's AHL career as he made 28 saves.

After a scoreless first period, the Bulldogs opened the game's scoring at 4:30 of the middle frame. Brock Trotter's pass towards the net was tipped by Ben Maxwell. The puck trickled through the pads of Lake Erie starting goaltender Tyler Weiman to give the ‘Dogs a 1-0 lead.

Alex Henry gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead at 8:32. Henry ripped a shot from the top of the slot. The puck travelled through traffic in front of the net before beating Weiman. Hamilton added its third goal of the period at 11:58. T.J. Kemp sent a pass to Dan Jancevski, who fed the puck to Yanick Lehoux. In front of the net, Lehoux tapped the puck past Weiman. The assist was Kemp's second of the night.

Hamilton solidified their victory when they scored their fourth goal at 14:16 of the third stanza. Mathieu Aubin collected the puck in front of the net before rifling a shot over the right shoulder of Weiman.
