Labbe Joins Crunch for Conditioning Assignment

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned goaltender Jean-François Labbe to Syracuse on a conditioning assignment.

Labbe has appeared in one game for Columbus this season playing 32 minutes at St. Louis on Oct. 17, 2002 stopping 19-of-22 shots on goal. He will join the Crunch in Cincinnati for tonight's game against the Mighty Ducks and is expected to re-join the Blue Jackets on Sunday.

Labbe is the AHL's all-time winningest goaltender with a record of 201-149-51, a 2.77 goals-against average and 27 shutouts in 416 career games. Last year, he went 27-16-7 with a 2.18 goals-against average, .928 save percentage and nine shutouts in 51 games with the Crunch. He is 1-2-0 with a 3.44 goals-against average in five career NHL games, including a 1-1-0 mark and 3.08 goals-against average last year with Columbus.
