
LA Galaxy Return to Training Ahead of FC Shirak Friendly

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, February 3, 2014) - The LA Galaxy continue its preseason camp at StubHub Center this week in advance of the 2014 MLS season. As part of the club's preparations, Bruce Arena's side will play Chivas USA in a closed door scrimmage at StubHub Center on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m. The Galaxy will take on Armenian Premier League champions Shirak FC in a preseason friendly at StubHub Center on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, Feb. 9 the Galaxy will depart to Mexico City, Mexico in advance of the team's preseason scrimmage against Pumas UNAM on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 11:00 a.m.
Landon Donovan and Omar Gonzalez will return to Galaxy training Thursday, Feb. 6 and will be available to media at University Field #1 following training. Donovan and Gonzalez both went 90 minutes as the United States defeated Korea Republic 2-0 at StubHub Center Saturday afternoon to conclude the U.S. Men's National Team January camp.

Saturday, Feb. 15: LA Galaxy vs. San Jose Earthquakes - 7:00 p.m - Chukchansi Park (Fresno, Calif.)
Saturday, March 8: Home OpenerÃâà- LA Galaxy vs. Real Salt Lake - 7:30 p.m. - StubHub Center
LA GALAXY ANNOUNCE LA GALAXY II
The LA Galaxy announced last week that the club has formed LA Galaxy II, a professional team that will compete in USL PRO, a division of U.S. Soccer below Major League Soccer. The LA Galaxy are the first Major League Soccer club to own and operate a lower division professional team within the club's player development structure. Curt Onalfo has been promoted and named the head coach of LA Galaxy II and will be charged with leading the USL PRO side and developing players for the LA Galaxy first team. LA Galaxy II, presented by Herbalife, will train and play all of its home matches at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.
