NOTES:
In their 2020 home opener, the LA Galaxy fell to Vancouver Whitecaps FC 1-0 at Dignity Health Sports Park Saturday evening.
With the result, the Galaxy are now 0-1-1 with 1 point on the season.
The Galaxy are now 11-7-5 all-time against Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
The Galaxy are now 8-4-1 all-time against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at home.
The two sides will face each other for a second contest this season on July 25 at BC Place.
Head Coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto made two changes to the Starting XI from last weekend's match vs. Houston: Jonathan dos Santos and Joe Corona started in place of Perry Kitchen and Sebastian Lletget.
Goalkeeper David Bingham saved a penalty in the second half of the match, marking the seventh penalty save of his career.
In 29 penalty kicks faced, Bingham has allowed 22 goals all time during his MLS career.
In their next contest, the Galaxy are back on the road to face former LA Galaxy player David Beckham's side, Inter Miami FC, for their home debut on Saturday, March 14 live on FOX.
Jonathan dos Santos made his 2020 season debut tonight after coming back from a mild groin injury with 45 minutes of play.
LA Galaxy Head Coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto is now 16-16-4 all time as coach of the LA Galaxy.
