LA Galaxy II Face Pittsburgh Riverhounds Saturday

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, Aug. 1, 2014) - LA Galaxy II (11-6-4, 37 points) will travel to face the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (5-11-5, 20 points) Saturday, Aug. 2 in Week 20 of USL PRO action at the Highmark Stadium, with kickoff set for 4 p.m. PT.

The match marks the first and only time that Los Dos will face off against the Pennsylvania-based Riverhounds in USL PRO play.

The Riverhounds are currently in 13th place in USL PRO standings and enter the match vs. Galaxy II following a 5-0 loss to Sacramento Republic FC on the road July 27. Sacramento put in a strong performance as Thomas Stewart and Rodrigo Lopez each notched a brace while Adam Jahn also scored to give Republic the victory.

LA Galaxy II are coming off their first loss in four matches, as a 3-1 defeat to the Harrisburg City Islanders snapped a three-game winning streak for Los Dos. Jamiel Hardware opened the scoring for Harrisburg to put the home side up, 1-0 before Galaxy II captain Rafael Garcia leveled before halftime, but the City Islanders scored two more second half goals to seal a 3-1 victory.

Following the match against Oklahoma City, Curt Onalfo's side will return home after the four-game road stretch as Galaxy II face Arizona United SC Saturday, Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m. PT.
