LA Galaxy Announce Full Programming in Celebration of 25th Season Representing Los Angeles in MLS

LOS ANGELES - Ahead of the club's 2020 home opener, the LA Galaxy announced today the comprehensive programming, themes and events throughout the season in celebration of the club's 25th season in Major League Soccer representing Los Angeles. The club hosts their home opening contest on Saturday, March 7 at 7 p.m. PT against Vancouver Whitecaps FC in a match presented by Angry Orchard.

25TH SEASON CELEBRATION THEME NIGHTS

The LA Galaxy will host various theme nights throughout the 2020 MLS Regular Season, including celebrating the team's five MLS Cup victories over five separate home contests at Dignity Health Sports Park throughout the season. As part of the five MLS Cup celebration theme nights, the club will honor the numerous legends that have represented the LA Galaxy during their 25 years in Major League Soccer, with various opportunities for meet and greets each match.

25TH SEASON CELEBRATION PIN SERIES

To celebrate 25 years in Major League Soccer, the LA Galaxy have collaborated with Move in Silence to create the LA Galaxy 25th Season Celebration Pin series, commemorating the club's record five MLS Cup victories. These pins will be given out on each of the 25th season celebration nights throughout the season, with the first 10,000 fans in attendance receiving each pin.

On April 4 for the match against Sporting Kansas City, LA Galaxy fans will also receive a commemorative box to display each pin.

SINCE '96 COLLECTION

Celebrating the League's start in 1996, this retro collection features clubs from the 1990s with merchandise available from Mitchell & Ness and New Era. The collection will launch this summer and feature retro gear from the LA Galaxy, in addition to Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew, FC Dallas (Burn), D.C. United, Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City Wiz), Portland Timbers, New England Revolution, San Jose Earthquakes (Clash), Seattle Sounders FC, and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC (Eighty-Sixers).

25TH SEASON MATCH POSTERS

This year, commemorative match posters will return in celebration of the club's 25th season. The LA Galaxy will release exclusive commemorative match posters for the 2020 home opener on Saturday, March 7 in addition to posters for each of the club's five 25th Season Celebration Nights.

STORIES OF '96

The LA Galaxy collaborated with multimedia director and producer Noah Sterling of Marvel Entertainment to create a series of animations re-telling classic LA Galaxy stories from the club's storied history.

25TH SEASON LA GALAXY NEW PRIMARY KIT

The LA Galaxy debuted a brand-new 2020 primary kit in conjunction with the 25th season in Major League Soccer. The official MLS name and number jersey font for 2020 is a dynamic, energetic and bold graphic typeface that introduces a layering tri-line effect. The font was designed in collaboration with MLS by Rick Banks, lead designer and typographer of Face37, an award-winning graphic design studio based in Manchester, England.
