MONTERREY, Mexico - Hidalgo La Fiera nine game win streak came to an end as they were defeated by the Monterrey Flash by final score of 11-6 at the Monterrey Arena on Sunday evening
The loss for La Fiera (9-2) keeps them in second place of the Central Division of the PASL standings with the rematch against the Monterrey Flash next Saturday.
Monterrey (11-1) scored four goals during the first quarter which gave them an early advantage but La Fiera responded with three goals from Carlos Farias, Joel Perez, and Armando Teran to put them within one goal to make it 4-3 after the first quarter.
It would be as close as Hidalgo would get as Monterrey continued scoring throughout the second quarter adding four more goals as making it 8-3 during the second quarter. Robson De Souza would add a goal before the break making 8-4 in favor of the Flash.
In the third quarter, both teams traded a goal with Damian Garcia scoring for Hidalgo that made it 9-5.
Monterrey would a pair of goals in the fourth quarter to end their scoring but La Fiera would add a late consolation goal as Erick Flores made it 11-6
Hidalgo La Fiera will start a three game home beginning on Saturday, January 18th when they host the Monterrey Flash at State Farm Arena with the kickoff set for 7:35 pm.
