Ontario Fury News Release
The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, won its first-ever road game Saturday night, holding on for a 10-9 victory over Bay Area Rosal at Cabernet Indoor Sports Arena in Livermore, Calif.
Defender Luis Piffer scored four goals to lead the Fury (4-7), who also got three goals from midfielder Tiguinhno, as Ontario only suited up 12 players in the second game of their back-to-back in Northern California due to injuries and illnesses.
Also scoring for Ontario were Zach Bautista, Jeff Bader and Miguel Sanchez. The Fury were also perfect on the power play in the game, converting both attempts on the night.
Emrah Klimenta scored four times for Bay Area, who fell to 5-6 on the season.
Ontario will return to Citizens Business Bank Arena on Sunday, Jan. 19, with a 4 p.m. game against the San Diego Sockers. It is Scout Night, as Boys and Girl Scouts are encouraged to bring items to support American military members overseas that will be donated to the USO. Scouts in uniform who donate items will be given a community service certificate and a coupon for $2 off a ticket to one of the remaining home games. Scouts will also have the chance to walk on the field before the game and be part of an exclusive autograph session after the game.
