Kuchejda, Tlusty invited to Czech National Team Try-Out

In an announcement earlier today, a pair of Soo Greyhound players were invited to the training camp of their home country for the upcoming 2007 World Junior Hockey Championship.

Forwards David Kuchejda and Jiri Tlusty both received an invitation to the Czech National Team U-20 training camp from Team GM Petr Misek.

The camp begins in early December and will see both players leave the Hounds on December 9th.

Tlusty has past International experience as he was a member of Team Czech Republic U-18 team for the past two seasons ('05 and '06), while he also participated at the World Junior Hockey Championship in 2006. In fourteen U-18 games Jiri had 7 goals and 3 assists and was also named to the tournaments All-Star team in 2006.

He was pointless at the U-20 tournament one season ago.

Kuchejda, was a member of Team Czech Republic with the U-18 team at the 2005 tournament.

In 7 games played David had 3 goals and 2 assists to go along with a +5 rating.

The 2007 WJHC tournament is being played in Leksand-Mora, SWEDEN from December 26th until January 5th.

Team Czech Republic will play in Pool B.
