Spokane Shock News Release
Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced that the season opener in San Jose against the SaberCats will be broadcast on KREM 2 on March 11th with kickoff starting at 8 PM. The Rob Keefe Coach's Show, hosted by Mike Boyle, will air at 7:30 PM prior to the start of the game.
"We know that a lot of our fans are excited for the season opener," Shock Majority Owner/CEO Brady Nelson said. "Since fans won't be able to watch it at the Arena, we wanted to bring them the next best thing -watching it from the comfort of their own home!"
The Shock also announced today that Larry Weir (play-by-play) and Mike Peterson (analysis) will form the broadcast team for all home games on KREM 2/KSKN.
Weir brings over 20 years of broadcasting experience to the television booth including four seasons on the Shock's radio broadcast. This will be Weir's first season on the Shock's television broadcast.
Peterson has been a part of the Shock's television broadcasts since the inception of the team in 2006.
"Larry and Mike will do a great job broadcasting our home games," Nelson explained. "Both of them have the experience and the knowledge to help fans in the television audience feel like they are at the Arena."
All Shock games, at home and on the road, will also be broadcast on the radio on ESPN 700 The Ticket with Dennis Patchin and Keith Osso. The ArenaBowl XXIII Champion Shock will return to Spokane on March 19th to host the Cleveland Gladiators. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by contacting TicketsWest.
