Korey Lee and Pedro León Homer as Space Cowboys Drop Road Trip Finale

(OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.) - Korey Lee and Pedro León homered as part of a late surge from the Sugar Land Space Cowboys on Sunday afternoon, but they were defeated 15-10 by the Oklahoma City Dodgers to close out their 12-game road trip.

Lee hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning, giving him four on the season to tie for the Space Cowboys team lead. León hit a 110-mph line drive well over the left field wall in the eighth for his third homer of the year. He finished the day 2-for-5 with a double and the solo homer and leads the Space Cowboys with 14 RBI this season.

Michael Papierki put the Space Cowboys out to a 2-0 lead with a two-run single in the first inning. Oklahoma City went on to score 14 unanswered runs prior to a six-run seventh inning from Sugar Land.

Lee's homer got the rally started and was followed by a two-run single from Scott Manea and RBI single from Alex McKenna. Corey Julks, who came across to score on McKenna's single, finished the game 2-for-4 with a double.

The Space Cowboys tacked on single runs in the eighth and ninth innings on León's homer and another RBI single from McKenna. Their 10 runs on the afternoon were one off their season high. David Hensley extended his on-base streak to a Pacific Coast League-leading 22 games and went 2-for-4.

Sugar Land finished its two-week road trip at 7-5 and heads home for a six-game homestand against the El Paso Chihuahuas, beginning at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday at Constellation Field.

Tyler Ivey is set to take the mound for the series opener and El Paso has yet to announce a starter for the game.
