Lynchburg Hillcats News Release

Lynchburg, Va. - The Lynchburg Hillcats, A-Advanced affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, are excited to announce numerous upgrades to City Stadium in preparation for the 2019 season. On Opening Night, April 8, the Hillcats will unveil the Kona Beach Bar party deck, a 30x30 space featuring a full-service bar that will have Kona Brewing beer on tap. On select nights, fans will also be able to enjoy live music to go along with the beach-themed area, with colorful picnic tables and seating for fans.

Down the third base line will be the Coors Light Refreshment Zone and Party Deck, with picnic and high-top tables, where fans can get a close-up look of the field while enjoying their favorite cold beverage.

City Stadium will offer new food options in 2019 in different themed concessions stands. The first base stand will feature the Hot Diggity Dog Weiner Emporium and the Pitchin' Kitchen. The Hot Diggity Dog Weiner Emporium will serve specialty hot dogs and sausages for fans to enjoy, such as the new Nacho Dog and Mac and Cheese Dog. The Pitchin' Kitchen will serve All-American ballpark classics with a twist, such as chicken and waffles and barbeque parfait. The third base stand is now designated the Cats Cantina, for fans to fill their Mexican food cravings for tacos and quesadillas.

In between the two concession stands, fans can get a delicious dessert treat at Dugout Delights, enjoy a full-service bar in Devil's Backbone Taproom with flat screen TVs, and even enjoy Lynchburg's favorite, the Cheesy Western burger at the Cheesy Western stand.

"Each year, we strive to make improvements to our historic ballpark," said Hillcats President/GM Chris Jones. "We're excited to roll out these new concepts for our fans to enjoy. We anticipate that these upgrades will have a large impact on the overall fan experience, which will further accomplish our goal of sustaining a friendly, fun and affordable game day experience."

Another exciting change to City Stadium this season is the new in-seat concession ordering service. Fans that sit in the Third Street Brewing Craft Seats, right behind the plate or Tito's Skyboxes, will be able to order through the Happsnow app to get in-seat service. So, don't miss out and order your 2019 season tickets or Skybox Night!
