
Komets Re-Sign Playmaker Embach

Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Thursday that they have re-signed left wing Mike Embach.
Embach (EMM-bach), 27, has agreed to terms for his third straight season in Fort Wayne. Last year the Orland Park, Illinois native led the Komets with 46 assists and added 24 goals for a career year high 70 points in 69 games.
Embach led the Komets in the 2015 playoffs with eight assists and 13 points in 12 games. The veteran skater also logged three AHL regular season games with Norfolk. Embach capped the season with four Komet team player awards including the Community Service Award, True Komet Award, Mr. Hustle Award and the Defensive Forward Award.
The addition of Embach pushes the Komets' training camp roster to 27 players including two goaltenders, 16 forwards and nine defensemen.
The Komets training camp continues through Thursday, Oct. 15. The Komets will host two home preseason games against the Evansville IceMen Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 7:30pm.

Home opener Oct. 17-- The 64th season of Komet hockey opens with a home-and-home series against long time rival Kalamazoo. The season opener is slated for Kalamazoo Friday, Oct. 16 before the Komets' home opener against the Wings Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7:30pm.
Single game tickets for all 36 home games and the two home exhibition games are on sale at the Coliseum Ticket Office and online at TicketMaster.com.
