
Komets increase roster by four

Fort Wayne, IN - The Komets announced today the addition of 4 skaters to the pre-season roster. Added were forwards Lance Galbraith and David Carpentier and defensemen Jeff White and Damir Brujic.
Galbraith, 25, will be starting his 5th pro season this year. Last year the winger registered 15 goals and 34 points while leading the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL in penalty minutes for the 2nd consecutive season with 235 in 45 games. The first 4 seasons of Galbraith's career included stints with Norfolk, Springfield, Syracuse and Utah of the AHL. Galbraith has also skated in the ECHL with Augusta and Dayton.
Carpentier, 25, will be starting his rookie season with the Komets. The winger skated 5 games with the Kalamazoo Wings at the end of last season (0 pts, 0 pim) after completing 4 years with Providence NCAA.
White, 29, has skated the past 5 seasons in Europe and will be entering his 7th pro season. The Mississauga, Ontario native played the last 2 seasons in Germany with the Stuttgart Wizards. Last season the defenseman posted 14 goals and 43 points in 39 games in International play.
Brujic, 23, guarded the blue line for Brock University of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport league (CIS). The Sudbury, Ontario native registered 1 assist and 38 penalty minutes in 18 games.
The Komet pre-season roster increases to 17 players signed for the 2005-06 season including 11 forwards, 5 defensemen and 1 goaltender. -Galbraith, Carpentier, White, Brujic career stats-
Komet Camp opens Oct. 10.....the Komets will open camp on the 2005-06 season Monday, Oct. 10. There will be a press luncheon at noon that day with an afternoon skate for the players at McMillen from 2pm-4pm. More details on the press luncheon will be released at a later date.
Komets vs Wings in exhibition.....the Komets also announced today that they will face the Kalamazoo Wings in a home and home exhibition series prior to the start of the 2005-06 campaign. The Komets will host the Wings Friday, Oct. 14 at 7:30pm at McMillen Ice Arena in Fort Wayne. Kalamazoo with then play host for a pre-season tune-up at Wings Stadium Saturday, Oct. 15 at 6:30pm (7:30pm Kalamazoo time).
2005-06 Season Tickets on Sale.....season tickets for the Komet's 2005-06 season are on sale at the Komet office at 1010 Memorial Way in Fort Wayne. The Komet's general offices are open Monday thru Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm during the summer.
