Ohio Valley Greyhounds News Release

WHEELING, WV - The Ohio Valley Greyhounds are extremely proud to announce that quarterback Matt Kohn has received United Indoor Football League's Offensive Player of the Week for week 13 action against Lexington. This is Kohn's fourth time receiving this award in the 2006 season.

Matt has continued to show his leadership and has propelled the Greyhounds, who are now 6-6, into the middle of the playoff race. Kohn was unable to pull off a victory last Saturday against the East Division leaders, but put together quite an impressive run. Kohn threw for 204 yards, was 21 of 30 passing, and threw four touchdown receptions, while rushing for 49 yards and two rushing touchdowns himself. This Greyhound standout currently leads the league with 2126 passing yards, 216 completions with 357 attempts, and is averaging 177.2 yards per game. Kohn is also leading the UIF in total offense, averaging 206.6 yards, and 5th overall in rushing with 353 yards and 9 touchdowns. The Greyhounds will head to Fort Wayne this Saturday to take on the Freedom for their third meeting this season, with the face offs split 1-1.
