
Knoxville rallies in third period

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Knoxville Ice Bears scored four goals in the third period as they rallied from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Huntsville Havoc 5-3 Thursday night.
K.J. Vorhees, Rob Miller, Curtis Menzul and Aaron Lewis all scored on powerplay goals, three of them on 5-on-3. Kevin Swider added a second period powerplay goal for the Ice Bears.
Chris Peach scored two goals and Bill Monkman added one for the Havoc.
Huntsville was whistled for 72 penalty minutes that resulted in 14 powerplay opportunities for Knoxville, they converted on five. Huntsville was 2-of-5 on the powerplay.
Matt Carmichael suffered his first loss of the season while James Ronayne got the win. Knoxville outshot Huntsville 53-24.
The two teams will meet again tomorrow night in Knoxville.
