This Weeks Notes and News The Knoxville Ice Bears have spent this week recovering from a seven game in nine day flurry of games. The team traveled 2648 miles and concluded with three games in three nights in three different states. While travel was a major obstacle, the Ice Bears came away with 7 out of a possible 14 points.

With twelve games remain in the regular season (7 Home - 5 Away), the Ice Bears are poised to secure the first seed in the play-offs. Knoxville is 12 points ahead of second place Richmond but are not comfortable because all remaining games will be hard fought as everyone in the SPHL will be fighting for playoff position. The top four teams will play a best of five series with the winners playing a championship best of seven.

Be sure to save the date for March 1, as the Knoxville Ice Bears take the game to the streets at Bennett Sports & Family Wellness Center from 2 - 4 PM. Join Chilly and the team as they will be playing street hockey with fans in the parking lot. Dr. Bennett's office is located at Isaiah's Landing across form Knoxville Center Mall.
