Knights vs. Saginaw
The Knights hosted the Saginaw Spirit on Friday in front of 9090 fans at the John Labatt Centre. After scoring two late first period goals, the Knights were required to play a strong defensive game as they could not manage to put the puck past goaltender Edward Pasquale. The Knights fired 43 shots at Pasquale, who played an exceptional game, stopping 41 shots. Knights netminder Michael Hutchinson was named first star after making 27 saves to secure the Knights win.
The opening goal of the game was scored at 15:11 of the first period by Knights forward Colin Martin. His 12th of the season was assisted by Chris DeSousa and Michael D'Orazio. Stephen Sanza scored his 7th of the season from Garett Hunter and Tyler Brown at 18:42. The Knights headed into the second period with a 2-0 lead. Saginaw forward, Michael Kantor put the puck past Michael Hutchinson with 1 minute left in the second period. Jordan Hill and Barry Sanderson added the assists. The third period remained scoreless, earning the Knights a 2-1 win.
London went 0-for-7 on the powerplay while Saginaw went 0-for-3.

Knights Defeat Petes in Shootout
The Knights travelled to Peterborough to play the Petes at the Peterborough Memorial Arena. The Knights made a big comeback in the third period to tie the game, defeating the Petes for the second time this season. After a scoreless overtime, captain Justin Taylor scored the deciding goal as the 6th shooter for the Knights in the shootout. This weekend increased the Knights record to 43-14-0-2 with 9 games left in the regular season.
Peterborough forward Mike Lomas opened the scoring early in the first period. Jack Walchessen and Jeff Braithwaite added the assists at 0:53. Colin Martin took advantage of the Knights powerplay, scoring his 13th goal of the season at 8:47. The game was tied 1-1 going into the second period. The Petes dominated the scoreboard during the first half of the period scoring 3 goals. Brett Theberge scored shorthanded at 1:39 from Jack Walchessen. Shortly after, Jack Walchessen scored his 13th goal of the season, on the powerplay from Brett Theberge and Jamie Doornbosch. Justin Larson capitalized on yet another Petes powerplay, scoring his 15th of the season from Matt Puempel and Adam Sedlak at 9:43. The Knights responded with 4 consecutive goals to regain the lead. Jared Knight scored his 32nd of the season from Kalle Ekelund and Colin Martin at 10:25. The Petes were up 4-2 heading into the third period. The Knights entered the 3rd period with a man-advantage. Nazem Kadri capitalized on the powerplay, scoring his 28th goal of the season from Colin Martin and Chris DeSousa at 1:26. Michael MacDonald scored two goals within 25 seconds of each other, putting the Knights up 5-4. His first came at 7:11 from Daniel Erlich. His second goal was assisted by Daniel Erlich and Steven Tarasuk at 7:34. Pete's forward Mike Lomas scored his second of the game late in the third period to send the game into overtime. Jamie Doornbosch and Jeff Braithwaite added the assists at 18:04.
After 5 minutes of a scoreless overtime, the game was forced into a shootout. Peterborough shot first during each round. After missed attempts by Peterborough's Pat Daley and Matt Puempel, Brett Theberge put the puck past rookie netminder Michael Houser. Nazem Kadri and Michael D'Orazio did not score on their attempts, but Colin Martin kept the Knights in the game with a goal on Andrew D'Agostini. Michael Houser stopped Mike Lomas and Liam Heelis and Andrew D'Agostini denied Jared Knight and Daniel Erlich. After a failed attempt by Jamie Doornbosch, Knights captain Justin Taylor put the puck past the Peterborough netminder to secure the win.
Both teams went 2-for-8 on the powerplay. The Knights were outshot 36-35.
