London Knights News Release

The London Knights are proud to announce the creation of the Don Brankley London Knights Hall of Fame. Named after the team's longtime trainer, the Don Brankley London Knights Hall of Fame will honour outstanding alumni for their career accolades during their time with the London Knights.

The inaugural class will include Walt McKechnie (1965-1967), Dennis Maruk (1972-1975), Dave Lowry (1982-1985), Tim Taylor (1986-1989), Chris Taylor (1988-1992), and Rob Schremp (2003-2006).

"We are incredibly proud to have created this opportunity to recognize those who have achieved outstanding accomplishments during their career in London," said London Knights General Manager, Mark Hunter. "We are very proud to have Walt, Dennis, Dave, Tim, Chris, and Rob as members in the inaugural class. All achieved great feats in London during their junior careers."

The inaugural class will be inducted on Tuesday, January 8th prior to the team's game against the Guelph Storm during a press conference.

"We are also honoured to be able to remember Don Brankley with this initiative," continued Hunter. "Don was a key member in each of these players' careers and was instrumental to their success."

A pregame ceremony will begin at 7:00pm at that evening's game. As such fans are asked to be in their seats by this time to observe the proceedings.
