RICHMOND, VA-CharlotteÂ’s Mike Porzio held Richmond to two runs over six innings as the visiting Knights knocked off the Braves 7- 5 at The Diamond Thursday.

Porzio (4-0) became the International LeagueÂ’s first four-game winner with the victory. Richmond managed four hits off of the Charlotte left-hander, plating two runs in the fifth inning on a single through the left side from Ramon Castro. The Braves scored twice in the seventh on a Jesse Garcia triple and a throwing error by Jorge Nunez. Garcia drove in his second run of the night in the ninth inning on a sacrifice fly. Edwin Almonte recorded his league- best eighth save working the final frame for Charlotte.

Charlotte erupted for five runs over four innings on Richmond starter Andy Pratt (0-2). Joe BorchardÂ’s two-run homer in the third gave the Knights a 5-0 lead they would not relinquish. Borchard was one of four Charlotte batters to record two hits on the evening as Willie Harris, Aaron Miles, and Tim Hummel each enjoyed multiple-hit games. Borchard led the Knights with three RBI.

The Braves and Knights meet again Friday in a 7:00 p.m. game at The Diamond. The game can be heard on WXGI AM 950 beginning at 6:45 p.m.
