
Bisons Announce Rescheduled Games

Buffalo Bisons News Release
The Buffalo Bisons will make up the six games, which were postponed during the opening home stand, by playing five doubleheaders and playing on a scheduled off day during the course of the 2003 schedule. Three of the games will be made up in Buffalo, two will be made up in Pawtucket and one will be made up in Syracuse.

* Monday. July 28th was originally a scheduled day off for the Bisons and Red Sox.
Fans holding tickets to any of the postponed games from the opening home stand game can exchange them for a comparable ticket to any future Bisons game, excluding concerts and special events. All ticket exchanges must be made at the Dunn Tire Park box office.

Red Hot Herd Set for 2-Game Homestand The Buffalo Bisons return home on Saturday, April 26th for the first of a brief two game series with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons. The Bisons, who recently took 2-of-3 from the Red Barons currently own the best record in the International League (11-4).
Saturday's contest is at 6:05 PM and the gates to Dunn Tire Park will open at 5:00 PM. It's a Jubilee Foods Pop-Up Saturday. All fans will have a chance to win a great prize from Jubilee Foods if the contestant catches all three pop-flies during the Jubilee Foods innings. Fans will also have the chance to catch t-shirts from the Niagara University sling shot crew. Sunday, April 27th is a Tops Family Fun Day at Dunn Tire Park. There will be kids contests on the field before the 2:05 PM contest. There will be a kids PA announcer for selected inning sand all kids can run the bases following the game.
After the brief homestand, the Herd hits the road for two NY Lottery Thruway Series contests in Rochester before coming home for an 8 game homestand. The upcoming homestand includes a fridaynightbash!® presented by Wegmans and your local WNY Chevrolet dealers on May 2nd at 7:05 PM. There will be a pregame tent party with live music from Hit 'n Run at 5:00 PM and post game fireworks. The home stand also includes season firsts for USA DataNet Mega Money Monday (May 5), Deal is Right Game Show Night (May 6) and Dave & Adam's Card World Remember "When"sday (May 7).
When you're at the game, be sure to pick up the new HerdBall game program featuring Bisons catcher Victor Martinez. HerdBall also features a full color poster of Bisons infielder Zach Sorensen.

Pawtucket Red Sox - Red Barons - April 24-25 - McCoy Stadium
DH ANDY ABAD doubled twice and knocked in five runs in a 6-4 win at Ottawa on April 16. Abad produced a two-run single in the third inning and belted a three-run double in the fourth. RHP ERIC GLASER, who was recently called up from Class AA Portland, earned the win in his Class AAA debut...1B JULIO ZULETA and OF CESAR CRESPO each hit a pair of home runs on April 12 in a 10-5 win against Rochester. OF LOU COLLIER belted a two-run shot as the Red Sox clubbed six homers in the contest. Collier drove in runs in six consecutive games April 3-15 (7-20, 1 3B, 4 HR, 12 RBI)...C BILL HASELMAN signed as a free agent and went 2-for-12 in his first four games with the club.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons - April 26-27 - Dunn Tire Park
3B TRAVIS CHAPMAN went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs and a career-high six RBI in a 7-2 victory at Rochester on April 15. RHP RYAN MADSON started and allowed two runs and five hits over five innings to win his Class AAA debut. Madson, who was the Class AA Eastern League's Pitcher of the Year in 2002 (16-4, 3.20 ERA, 132 SO), walked one and struck out four. The 22-year-old began the season in the Class A Florida State League rehabbing from elbow tendinitis...OF ERIC VALENT suffered through an 0-for-17 drought from April 9-12 and has just four hits in his first 42 at-bats this season. Valent, a supplemental first-round pick in 1998, ranked fourth in the league with 84 RBI in 140 games with the Red Barons last season.
Rochester Red Wings - April 29-30 - Frontier Field
OF MIKE RYAN hit the go-ahead home run in the top of the seventh inning as the Red Wings beat Pawtucket, 5-4, in the second game of a doubleheader on April 13. The 25-year-old, who had a career-high 31 homers and 101 RBI in 131 games with the Edmonton Trappers last year, collected three hits, including an RBI single in the second inning...LHP CARLOS PULIDO has not allowed a run in his first two starts of the season, winning both and striking out 11 over 10 innings without issuing a walk. Pulido was the league's first Pitcher of the Week for the 2003 season.

Double-A Akron Aeros
OF GRADY SIZEMORE launched a three-run homer and 1B ERIC CROZIER had a solo shot in a 5-4 loss at Reading on April 15. Sizemore was leading the league with 19 hits and eight runs scored through April 16. Crozier hit home runs in three straight games April 13-15 and had a nine-game hitting streak snapped on April 16 when he went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in a 7-2 win at Reading...RHP FERNANDO CABRERA was tied for first in the league with 16 strikeouts...RHP JEREMY GUTHRIE has allowed just one run in 14 1/3 innings and has a 0.63 ERA...Through April 16, RHP RYAN LARSON was leading the league with three losses.
Single-A Kinston Indians
OF BRIAN JENKINS doubled twice and knocked in four runs in an 8-7 loss at Potomac on April 13...2B JOE INGLETT tripled and drove in three runs on April 16 in a 6-4 win at Wilmington. DH LUKE SCOTT went 2-for-4, raising his average to .385, good for fifth in the league. RHP NICK MORAN allowed just an unearned run and six hits over six innings to improve to 2-0 with a 1.64 ERA over his first two starts...C BEN MARGALSKI went 0-for-15 with seven strikeouts in four games April 11-15.
Single-A Lake County Captains
OF J.J. SHERRILL homered April 14 & 15 against Delmarva. Through April 16, Sherrill had six doubles, three homers, 11 RBI and a league-high 14 runs...3B SHAUN LARKIN hit a sixth-inning grand slam in an 8-6 loss to Charleston-SC on April 13. Larkin had 15 hits and 11 RBI in his first 12 games.
