
Knighthawks Drop Roughnecks 13-7

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks dropped a 13-7 decision to the three-time defending NLL champion Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
The Knighthawks, led by Jordan Hall's hat trick, scored nine goals in the second half and only allowed three, extending their winning streak to five games.
Shawn Evans led the Roughnecks with three goals and one assist while Karsen Leung (2g, 1a) and Daryl Veltman (2g) also contributed for Calgary.
Matt Vinc, in a first-star performance, turned aside 41 of 48 shots to record the win. Mike Poulin and Frankie Scigliano, in a relief appearance in the fourth quarter, combined for 28 saves for Calgary.
The Roughnecks, now 2-8 on the season, continue a three-game homestand when Calgary hosts the New England Black Wolves on Friday, Mar. 20 at 7:00 p.m. Come for the Party & Stay for the Game as the Roughnecks tailgate, open to all ages, begins at 5:00 p.m. and continues post-game in the Chrysler Club and Dutton's Canadian Lounge.
