
Knighthawks Announce 2017 Schedule

The Rochester Knighthawks will kick off their 23rd season in the National Lacrosse League with a pair of home games at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena.
The Knighthawks, who announced their complete schedule this afternoon, will battle the rival Toronto Rock on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 7:30 p.m. to usher in the 2017 campaign. The following week, Rochester will host the New England Black Wolves on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The game against the Black Wolves is the first of a season-high four meetings against New England.
The 2017 home schedule will include two games each against New England, the Toronto Rock and the Buffalo Bandits. Rochester will entertain the Black Wolves on Jan. 7 and April 22, while the Rock will roll into the Flower City on Dec. 29 and Feb. 18. The Bandits will come to town on March 4 and March 25.
The game on March 4 is part of a home-and-home series against Buffalo, which could prove to be one of the biggest weekends of the season for the East Division foes. The Knighthawks and Bandits will begin their two-game series on Friday, March 3 in Buffalo. The following day, the teams will meet at Connors & Ferris Field at 1:00 p.m.
Other games of note are against the Saskatchewan Rush and the Georgia Swarm. On Saturday, Feb. 11, the Knighthawks will host the Rush in a championship showdown. The contest features the two teams that have combined to win the last five Champion's Cups.
Rochester will end the season with a home-and-home series against the Swarm. The Knighthawks will host Georgia on Friday, April 28 to conclude the home portion of their schedule before departing for Duluth, Ga. to end the regular season on Saturday, April 29.
