HENDERSON - The Indoor Football League announced today, March 28, that Vegas Knight Hawks quarterback Ja'Rome Johnson has been named the league's Offensive Player of the Week for Week 2 of the IFL season.

Johnson made his Knight Hawks debut in the team's season opener against the Arizona Rattlers on Sunday, a 45-43 victory at Desert Diamond Arena. The Knight Hawks signal-caller went 9-for-16 passing, totaling 179 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson also rushed 12 times for 116 yards and three touchdowns.

The announcement marks the first time Johnson has earned Player of the Week honors in his IFL career, and the seventh time a Knight Hawks player has earned recognition.

The home-opener will be played on March 31 at The Dollar Loan Center against the expansion Jacksonville Sharks. The game will be televised on the Silver State Sports and Entertainment Network (SSSEN), and all games are broadcast on radio on 1230AM The Game.
