Kitchener Rangers News Release
Kitchener, ON - The Kitchener Rangers are excited to announce the launch of a limited-edition "Pug Life" t-shirt, with all proceeds from sales directly benefiting POGO's mission to support children and families affected by childhood cancer. The Kitchener Rangers have a long history with POGO through Clarky's Kids - a charitable initiative started by the Kitchener Rangers and alumnus David Clarkson - has been a big supporter of POGO's financial assistance to families program since 2008.
The distinctive "Pug Life" t-shirts (white and black versions) feature a creative design that combines forward Antonino Pugliese's face on a pug, embodying resilience, and determination as an ode to his style of play on the ice. Adversity has held a presence in his life in numerous ways, but none more difficult than when his little brother, Giacomo, was diagnosed with cancer at a very early age. Pugliese recalls countless moments throughout his career when he felt discouraged to work hard, to step away from the grind, but he always remembers who he does it for, his "why":
"I'm really excited about the release of the Pug Life t-shirts," said Pugliese. "Being able to give back to a charity that has helped my family and myself personally while my younger brother was sick means the world to me. I've been wanting to give back to families affected by childhood cancer for a while now and this is the perfect opportunity that I have been hoping for."
The shirts are available in limited quantities for purchase starting Friday, November 24th at the Rangers Authentics store.
All funds raised through the sale of "Pug Life" t-shirts will be donated to POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario), an organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with cancer and their families. POGO provides comprehensive support, including financial assistance, education, and emotional wellness programs, ensuring that no family faces childhood cancer alone.
Don't miss this opportunity to join Antonino and the Rangers in making a difference in the lives of children and families affected by childhood cancer. Get your "Pug Life" t-shirt at the game on Friday, November 24th and wear it with pride!
