Four on the Fourth - The K-Tribe has lost four games in a row, their longest losing streak of the season. Kinston has been outscored 32-7 over the four game span and now sits a game out of first place in the Carolina League Southern Division. Kinston's longest losing streak in both the 06 and 07 seasons were four games (both streaks in August), the K-Tribe has not lost five games in a row since a six game skid during the 2005 season (June 30th - July 5th).

Burned on the Fourth of July - The K-Tribe has lost their last three games on July 4th. Kinston lost 10-2 to Wilmington at Grainger Stadium last season, the K-Tribe's second worst defeat of the season. Kinston has already assured themselves of a second straight series loss, the first time they've dropped two series in a row since they lost four in a row to begin the season. Denham had a great week with the bat, hitting .500 in four games. Denham was 7-for-14 with three doubles and six RBIs in the four contests.
