March 4, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Kingston Frontenacs News Release
Kingston - The Kingston Frontenacs are proud to announce the addition of two new full-time staff members and one key promotion to the Business Operations department of the hockey club. Tim Hughes has been promoted to Manager of Ticket Sales, Chelsea McDermott joins the club as Manager of Partnerships and Game Operations, and Kylie Sochasky joins the club as Coordinator of Community and Game Operations. The staffing changes come with the club announcing the departure of Jared Ginsburg, Director of Business Development, who has joined the Edmonton Oilers as Director of Ticket Sales.
"We are excited with these changes, which hold our priority of selling tickets and providing the best entertainment in the Ontario Hockey League," said Justin Chenier, Vice President of Business Operations.
Tim Hughes, who joined the club as a game day intern in 2012, worked as part-time Account Executive in his final year in Commerce at Queen's University in 2013. In 2014 he joined the Kingston Frontenacs full-time and has been instrumental in increasing group ticket sales. In his new role as Manager of Ticket Sales, Hughes will be responsible for the sales direction and management of ticketing sales and staff.
Chelsea McDermott, a known media personality in the Kingston-area, joined the Kingston Frontenacs as In-Game Host in 2013. Her hosting duties have extended beyond the Kingston Frontenacs, including the Toronto Maple Leafs where she has served as game host, Corus Entertainment where she co-hosted mornings on 104.3 CKWS-FM, and most recently as the host of Station 14. In her new role as Manager of Partnerships and Game Operations, McDermott will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, and maintaining the relationships between the Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club and corporate sponsors, league partners, and overseeing the game operations of all Kingston Frontenacs home games.
Kylie Sochasky, who joined the club in 2011 as a game day intern, has been a fixture in game operations and community events. She has coordinated the Kingston Frontenacs Summer Road Crew in 2013 and 2014. In her expanded role, Sochasky will be responsible for activating community events and partnerships, executing game operations responsibilities, and coordinating the volunteer program for the Kingston Frontenacs.
The Kingston Frontenacs have a stretch of three home games this week, beginning tonight when they faceoff with the Eastern Conference's 9th place Mississauga Steelheads for a 7:00 p.m. puckdrop. On Friday, March 6, the Frontenacs faceoff with the Eastern Conference's 8th place Peterborough Petes for Kingston's annual Millitary Appreciation Game, complete with CADPAT uniforms for a 7:00 p.m. puckdrop. On Sunday, March 8, the Frontenacs faceoff with the Western Conference's London Knights for a 2:00 p.m. puckdrop.
