
Kings Sign Defenseman Alex Lintuniemi to Three-Year Entry-Level Contract

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have signed defenseman Alex Lintuniemi to a three-year entry-level contract, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
The 19-year-old Lintuniemi (born on Sep. 23, 1995) is a 6-3, 218-pound native of Helsinki, Finland, who has appeared in 126 career regular-season games with the Ottawa 67's (OHL), totaling 57 points (11-4657) and 48 penalty minutes. In six postseason games (all this season), he recorded three points (1-23) and two penalty minutes.
A second round (60th overall) selection of the Kings at the 2014 NHL Draft, Lintuniemi tallied 36 points (7-2917) and 22 penalty minutes this season, setting career-highs in goals, assists and points. He finished leading team-defensemen in goals, assists, points, and tied for first in PPG (two).
