July 14, 2003 - Frontier League (FL)
Kalamazoo Kings News Release
The Kalamazoo Kings baseball team aimed to make its way into the Guinness World Record Books at Homer Stryker Field for the "Most People Simultaneously Brushing their Teeth" on Set Guinness Book Record Night last Friday, July 11, 2003, sponsored by Magnuson Leonard Dental
Upon entrance to the ballpark, each fan received a pre-pasted toothbrush and spit cup. At the end of the 4th inning, Kings president Bill Wright, along with representatives from Magnuson Leonard Dental, led the fans in brushing their teeth for 60 seconds.
When the final count of signatures was in, 3,184 Kings fans joined in the record-breaking attempt. The record, set by the Greensboro North Carolina Bats minor league baseball team on June 6, 2003, currently stands at 3,872 participants. Even though they did not break the record, fans had a great time and everyone left the ballpark with clean teeth! The Kings would like to thank Magnuson Leonard Dental for sponsoring the event and all fans that participated in the attempt to break the Guinness Book Record.
