Michael Conner's 2-run double snapped a 5-5 tie in the 8th inning to give the Rascals the lead and an eventual 7-5 win over the Rockford Riverhawks on Sunday night at Hughes Ballpark.
River City trailed 5-1 going into the 8th before sending 11 batters to the plate, which included a 3-run homer from Zack Riera and an RBI single from Lucas Taylor which tied the game at 5.
Steve Soja (2-0) earned the win in relief, while Joe Kjose (1-5) took the loss. Wes Jaillet threw one pitch and earned his 8th save as pinch-hitter Casey DeGroote lined a shot right back to Jaillet.
