
Kings even up series in 9-6 win

Evansville Otters News Release
(KALAMAZOO, Mich.) - The Kalamazoo Kings defeated the Evansville Otters 9-6 on Saturday night to tie up the weekend series.
Kalamazoo stormed ahead to an 8-1 lead but Evansville battled back.
Reliever Chris Rollins threw 4 13 innings keeping Evansville in the game as the Otters pulled within a pair of runs.
Scott Reid and Tyler Herron pitched the final two innings to secure the Kings win.
Vinnie Scarduzio finished 3 for 4 in the game with a solo home run as Jake Rogers also had a two run shot as well.
Kings starter Joe DiPietro (6-9) earned the win after throwing seven innings for Kalamazoo. Travis LaMar (2-1) takes the loss for Evansville after allowing seven runs in his first start of the season.
Kalamazoo improves to 26-57 with the victory as Evansville is currently 32-49.
The Kings and Otters meet in the series deciding finale tomorrow afternoon at 1:05 PM EST.
