Baton Rouge Kingfish News Release
Helping hand: Ryan Trsek has picked up an assist in each of the Kingfish's last three games since returning from a bruised leg. Trsek tallied an assist against the Sea Wolves on Friday night, then set up Clark Jones two times on Saturday against the Louisiana IceGators and found Jones again on Sunday for his fourth assist in three games this weekend.

Help From the Young Guys: Rookie forward Wes Scanzano is tied for third among rookies in scoring this season. He tallied a goal and an assist on Friday against Mississippi and added a helper on Sunday at Mississippi.
First on the Board: The Kingfish scored first for the first time this season in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Louisiana IceGators. Baton Rouge had given up the first goal of each of its first six contests this season.
Special Teams: The Kingfish continue to make their opponents pay for their mistakes. Baton Rouge went 2-5 on the power play on Friday against Mississippi. A disciplined Louisiana team gave the Kingfish just four power plays on the game but Baton Rouge made the IceGators pay as they went 2-4 on the man advantage. On Sunday in Mississippi, the Kingfish went 1-5 on the power play. The Kingfish are in 3rd place in the ECHL converting 25.4% on the power play.
Milestones: Kingfish forward Bryan Richardson needs just 5 assists for 100 as a Kingfish. He is currently 3rd for most assists as a Kingfish behind Cam Brown (158), and Jon Sturgis (101). 20 goals this season will give Richardson 100 goals as a Kingfish. Including Friday night's two goals and Saturday's tally, Richardson is just 14 goals shy of the 100-goal plateau. Richardson is second only to Cam Brown (103) for goals scored as a Kingfish. Brown owns the franchise record with 139 goals.
Leading the Team: Trevor Demmans and Clark Jones each have nine points on the season, tops for the Kingfish. Jones has 5 goals and 4 assists while Demmans has 2 goals and 7 assists on the year.
