Kenosha Kingfish News Release
Kenosha, Wis. - The Kingfish (9-14) were rained out in Rockford this evening. After getting to the bottom of the first inning, severe thunderstorms left the field unplayable, and the decision was made to postpone play.
With Kenosha not scheduled to return to Rockford for the rest of the summer, the game will be resumed in Kenosha on Saturday, July 2nd at Simmons Field. Originally scheduled as a single 6:05 CT game, Simmons Field will now host a doubleheader instead.
Game 1 will be 9 innings long and begin at 4:05 on Saturday. Game 2 will promptly begin a half an hour after the conclusion of game 1. Saturday night's Miller Lite fireworks show will still take place as previously scheduled.
The Kingfish will play on the road at Lakeshore tomorrow night at 6:35 CT.
