Baton Rouge Kingfish Hockey announced today that Pelican Sports will be covering a select number of home games for the during the 2002-2003 season. The Kingfish will utilize feed from the broadcasts for the in-house replay system in the Centroplex during the games.
"The addition of the Kingfish to our lineup will make coverage of our local sports outstanding," said Bert Carson, General Manager of Pelican Sports. "With Cam Brown as the new coach we expect Kingfish hockey to be more entertaining and exciting than it has ever been!"
The network, Pelican Sports, also covers LSU sports; broadcasts Louisiana sporting events on TV, FM radio, and the internet.
"We're excited about getting back on television," said Kingfish executive vice-president Kevin Melancon, "Pelican Sports is well-known for its coverage of Louisiana sports and will provide the Kingfish with great exposure throughout the season."
All games will be shown on a tape delay basis. The broadcast schedule and network stations will be announced when they become available.
