
Kingfish Add Two Huskies to Roster

Kenosha, Wis. - April 28, 2015. The Kingfish have announced the signing of two players from the University of Connecticut to the 2015 roster. Jack Sundberg and Andrew Zapata will join the Kingfish this season.
Sundberg, a 5'11", 185-pound junior from Mansfield, Connecticut will add speed and depth to the Kingfish roster this summer. So far this season, Sundberg has a .310 batting average, 27 RBIs and 26 stolen bases. He is ranked in the top ten in the nation for stolen bases.
In his 2014 season, Sundberg hit .270 with 16 RBIs and 27 stolen bases. He spent the summer of 2014 with the Laconia Muskrats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League and finished with a .263 batting average and seven RBIs. He finished second in the league with 19 stolen bases.
Zapata, a 5'11", 192-pound sophomore from Staten Island, New York will join Sundberg in Kenosha. Zapata is off to a solid start this season with a 4-0 record and a 3.98 ERA in 40.2 innings pitched.
As a freshman in 2014, Zapata held a 2.57 ERA in 63 innings pitched. He spent his summer with the Wareham Gateman of the Cape Cod Baseball League and struck out 13 batters in 12.1 innings.
The Kingfish will open the season at home on Tuesday, May 26th at 7:05 pm as they take on the St. Cloud Rox.
