Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release

THE SKINNY: The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (15-22-3) continue their South Texas rivalry with the Laredo Bucks Tuesday at the State Farm Arena. The two teams are tied at 13 points each in the first-ever Cricket Mayor's Cup with four-games remaining between the two teams. In the Bees last meeting with the Bucks on Jan. 18 the Bees won their third overtime game over the Bucks, all three victories at the Laredo Energy Arena.

In the Bees last outing on Saturday the Bees took first-place Allen to the wire falling in a tough 3-2 game. The Bees picked up goals from Brett Wilson and Nick Sucharski in the losing effort. Mike Brown made 22 saves in net for the Bees.

The Killer Bees are in the midst of a six-game home stand in which by its completion will have welcomed four different CHL franchises to the Hive including Allen, Laredo, Texas and Rapid City. Rapid City has the longest trip to the Valley this season located 1,490 miles away. Fort Wayne is the only franchise further, but they do not make the trek this season.
