April 30, 2004 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Frederick Keys News Release
The Frederick Keys, in cooperation with Catoctin Mountain Park, will host a "Get to Know Your Local Parks" event at Harry Grove Stadium on Monday during the team's game against the Winston-Salem Warthogs at 7:05 p.m.
The activity will give visitors an opportunity to learn more about parks in the surrounding area and to celebrate National Parks Week and National Volunteer in the Parks Week, which recently concluded on April 25.
On Monday from 6-8 p.m., exhibits, vehicles and equipment from various parks in the area will be featured at the stadium's entrance. Smokey the Bear will appear at the game, and park rangers will be available to answer fans' questions about area parks. Participating parks include, but are not limited to, Catoctin National Park, Chesapeake and Ohio NHP, Antietam National Battlefield, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and President's Park.
Please contact Park Ranger Debbie Mills at 301-663-9388 for more information about this program. To purchase tickets to any 2004 Frederick Keys home game, give them a call at 301-662-0013 or visit their website at www.frederickkeys.com.
