
Keys 2 Game Home Winning Streak Snapped, Defeated by Trenton Thunder 5-1

Frederick, MD - The Frederick Keys lost the series opener against Trenton by a final score of 5-1 at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium. Frederick's two game winning streak at home is now snapped with the loss on Friday night. Max Ryerson was 0-4 in the game, ending his on base streak at 12 games.
Ronan Kopp started the game for the Keys and allowed one run in both the first and second inning. The home run by Adan Fernandez was the first homer allowed by the lefty this season. For the third time this season, Kopp received no run support on the mound.
The Keys didn't score until the 7th inning. Mason Auer led off the inning with a walk, he was the first lead off batter to get on for the Keys in the game. Auer promptly stole second and was moved to third on a fly ball by Paul Komistek. Auer came home to score on a wild pitch.
Frederick relievers Peyton Zabel and Jack Enger combined for five innings of four hit, scoreless baseball and kept the Keys in the game.
In the 9th, Trenton tallied for three runs on four hits. The biggest knock of the inning was a two-run triple by Jared Gillen. Brodie Cooper-Vassalakis struck out two batters in the lone inning of work.
