Kerry Brown Named Blizzard Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator

The Green Bay Blizzard has announced that Kerry Brown will join the team as the Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator for the 2007 season. Coach Brown will bring a great amount of knowledge and experience to the Blizzard this season.

Kerry Brown has a tremendous amount of Arena Football experience. Coach Brown played nine seasons in the AFL as a wide receiver/linebacker and an offensive specialist. Brown started his career in 1997 with the Florida Bobcats. Throughout his tenure in the AFL Brown caught 323 passes for 4,166 yards and 79 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, Brown had 89 total tackles, 6 interceptions and 2 touchdowns. He also played for former Blizzard Head Coach Bob Landsee and played with current Head Coach Doug Lytle with the Toronto Phantoms and Indiana Firebirds.

Prior to playing in the AFL, Coach Brown played for the Ottawa Roughriders (CFL), Scottish Claymores (NFL Europe), and the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL).

With a great amount of experience in many different levels of football, Coach Brown is excited about coming up to Green Bay and building on the American Conference Championship season of last year.

"This is one of the best coaching jobs to have in Arena Football. The Blizzard made it to the ArenaCup last year and I am excited about that. I am looking forward to getting up to Green Bay and starting the season," replies Brown about coaching in Green Bay.

The Green Bay Blizzard will start the season on the road on March 31st against the expansion Fort Wayne Fusion and will come back to Green Bay for the home opener on April 13th against the Manchester Wolves.
