Kenardo Forbes Named to USL Championship Team of the Week

PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC midfielder Kenardo Forbes has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after posting a goal and an assist on the road in the squad's 2-2 draw against the Charleston Battery this past Saturday at MUSC Health Stadium.
In the 5th minute against Charleston, Forbes led a breakaway opportunity for the Hounds before passing to fellow midfielder Kevin Kerr, who then blasted a shot into the net to give the squad an early 1-0 advantage. Seven minutes later, Forbes added a tally to his helper. Scoring from just inside of the 18-yard box, he made an excellent leaping shot attempt that sailed into the twine to make it a 2-0 score at the time.
Forbes also posted a team-high two key passes in the match.
This season, the Kingston, Jamaica native paces the Hounds with 15 key passes and is tied for the team lead with three assists. He has been at the center of the Black and Gold's formation, accumulating a team-high 404 passes to this point in the schedule.
