JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a pair of transactions that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp roster prior to tomorrow's game against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at the Blue Wahoos Stadium at 7:35 p.m. eastern.
Right-handed relief pitcher Kyle Keller has been transferred from Jacksonville to Triple-A New Orleans. Keller has made two scoreless appearances for Jacksonville this season, picking up one save and striking out four batters in his three innings of work.
In a corresponding move, left-handed starting pitcher McKenzie Mills has been transferred from Marlins extended spring training to Jacksonville. Mills is expected to start against Pensacola on Wednesday night.
The Jumbo Shrimp roster stands at 25 active players, and a revised roster is attached.
Following an off day Tuesday, the Jumbo Shrimp begin a five-game series at Pensacola with a 7:35 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday. Coverage begins at 7:20 p.m. on MiLB.tv, Sunny 102.3 FM, www.jaxshrimp.com and TuneIn.
