
Kayla Thornton Named Player of the Week

Wings Forward Kayla Thorton has been named Overseas Player of the Week.
Thornton and the KB Stars of the WKBL are riding an 11-game win streak that has spanned for more than a month. In the two most recent wins, Thornton poured in a season-high 37 points against Samsung Life and put up 27 against Shinhan Bank. The UTEP product grabbed double-digit rebounds in each outing, securing 10 on Jan. 28 and a season-high 15 boards on Feb. 2.
Thornton has secured 15 double-doubles this season, recording three in consecutive games and four in the last five outings.
