HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc announced today that former captain Travis Kauffeldt will skate one more shift with the team on Saturday, March 23rd against the Fayetteville FireAntz and then will officially retire from professional hockey.

"The Huntsville Havoc gave me so much over my hockey career." Kauffeldt said. "They gave me my first chance to play professional hockey, gave me my first championship, set some records, and most importantly I met my wife. When Keith (Jeffries) and I talked about wearing the Havoc jersey one last time, it was a no brainer. It's the greatest organization I got the chance to play for and the top organization in the SPHL. I'm so glad to get the chance to wear the Havoc logo one last time and retire as a Huntsville Havoc. I will always have great memories from my time there and from the great fans they have."
The Bancroft, Ontario native owns the Havoc record for goals scored in a season when he netted 37 during the 2008-09 season. He is tied for first on the all-time Havoc list in goals scored with 108, fourth in games played with 184, second in assists with 121, second in points with 206 and fifth in penalty minutes with 449.
Kauffeldt will skate the opening shift with the Havoc against the FireAntz on Saturday. The winner of the jersey raffle during the game on Saturday will win the jersey that Travis will wear during that shift.
