Kauffedlt goals wins it overtime for Havoc

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Travis Kauffeldt scored with 2:39 left in overtime giving the Huntsville Havoc a 6-5 win over the Jacksonville Barracudas in front of 5,545 fans Saturday night.

The Havoc jumped out to an early 2-0 on goals by Martin Kubaliak and Trevor Karasiewicz. Pat Doherty cut the lead to 2-1 before Peter Langella scored his first career goal with 1:23 left in the first.

The Barracudas took a 4-3 in the second period on goals by Jim Murphy, Jeff Angelidis and Guy Come.

Craig Bushey tied the game at 4-4 just :24 into the third period.

Matt Carmichael got the win, stopping 25 shots. Ryan Person stopped 24 shots in the loss.

The Havoc auctioned their pink and white jerseys after the game with all the proceeds going to Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund. A total for $54,400 was raised in the auction.
