Brendan Katin ripped a grand slam, and a three run home run to lift Nashville to a 10-1 win in front of 8,342 fans at Greer Stadium. Katin's 7 RBI's combined with a strong pitching performance by Josh Butler lead the Sounds to the win. Butler pitched eight innings limiting the Zephyrs to one run on two hits. NicUngs suffered the defeat for the Z's, lasting three innings and allowing 9 runs. The Z's lost for the fourth time in five games and have fallen to 2-7 on the 13 game road trip.

Game Notes: Brian Barden extended his hit streak to 14 games, a season best for the Zephyrs. The loss on Sunday assures the Zephyrs will have a third consecutive losing season. The Z's are 2-7 on the 13 game road trip and have dropped 14 of their last 19 games. The Z's elimination number was reduced to two with 8 games to play.

Coming up - The Zephyrs will begin the third and final leg of this thirteen game, three city road trip on Monday night in Memphis. The Z's and Redbirds will meet at 7:00. The Z's will start RH Tom Mastny (4-4, 4.60) vs. RH Lance Lynn (12-9, 4.76) . RADIO: 106.1 FM
