Karlander's Hat Trick Power Jacks to 6-3 Win

(Odessa, TX) - Kory Karlander stole the show on Friday night at the Ector County Coliseum as he recorded the third hat trick this season by a Jackalopes player in Odessa's 6-3 win over New Mexico. Alexandre Vincent made 29 saves in his first start since February 7th.

After trailing the game, 3-0, at one point, the New Mexico Scorpions pulled to within one when Christopher Robertson netted a power play at 11:26 of the third period. Karlander pulled Odessa away for good by scoring his third goal of the night at 14:00 of the period on the power play to make it a 5-3 score. Jean Bourbeau added the insurance marker to make it 6-3.

The Jackalopes captain also scored goals in the first period to open up the scoring and in the second frame as well.

Alexandre Vincent stopped 29 of 32 New Mexico shots. Sebastien Thinel finished the game with three assists to give him 78 on the season now.

Odessa returns to action Saturday night against the Amarillo Gorillas at 7:05 PM at the Ector County Coliseum.
