The Bucks enter tonight sitting in the third spot in the Southern Conference playoff race, as they sit 13 points back of Texas in the Southeast Division.

The Bucks picked up a hard-fought two points Thursday night, beating Arizona 5-4 in a shootout. Jason Dixon scored the game-winner in the shootout, and Alex Goupil picked up three points (1-2=3) to lead the Bucks.
All-Star Rookie Darryl Smith picked up an assist last night, to increase his rookie-leading total to 59 points (31-28=59). Smith's 31 goals are tied for the league-lead with Odessa's Sebastien Thinel, and Colorado's Ryan Tobler.

The home team has won 10 of the first 12 meetings between the Bucks and Bees this season, with each team picking up one win on their opponent's home ice. Laredo's last trip to the Dodge Arena on January 29th was a 1-0 victory over Rio.
The Bucks and Bees will close out their season series on March 10th, when Rio hosts their Kid's Day game.
Since beating the Bucks on February 10th, the Bees have alternated wins and losses in their last five games. Rio is currently 2-1 on their five game home stand, which will end Saturday night against Corpus Christi.
