Free Tickets to Los Angeles Galaxy Match Available Through Special Ticket Package; Single Game Tickets on Sale Friday

Free tickets are available immediately for the match between the Kansas City Wizards and Los Angeles Galaxy Sept. 13. Fans who purchase a special ticket package that includes games in both the 2008 and 2009 seasons are eligible for the free tickets. The match has changed venues from CommunityAmerica Ballpark to Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff time has also changed and will now be 4 p.m. CT. Single-game tickets will go on sale this Friday, August 15.

The "2008-2009 Season Ticket Package" includes tickets to three games in 2008 and a deposit on season tickets for the 2009 season. The first 500 who purchase this package will receive complimentary lower-bowl tickets to the Los Angeles Galaxy match. Individual tickets to the game will go on sale in mid-August. Supplies are going fast, but a limited amount of tickets are still available through this program.

The Jimmy Conrad Show Live from McFadden's Wednesday

The Jimmy Conrad Show is back on the air Wednesday for another dose of the latest in soccer news and notes. Conrad and voice of the Wizards Sean Wheelock will host the show live McFadden's in Kansas City's Power and Light District Wednesday, August 13 at 7 p.m. CT. Each week, Conrad and Wheelock will chat with guests from the Wizards and other MLS clubs for the latest from around MLS.

Wizards Weekly Press Conference Held Thursday at Swope Park

The Wizards weekly press conference will start at 12:00 p.m. CT at the pavilion adjacent to the team's Swope Park Training Center. Head Coach Curt Onalfo and midfielder Sasha Victorine will be available to discuss last weekend's 3-2 win against Chivas USA and the upcoming game against the Colorado Rapids. Victorine converted his first goal of 2008 Saturday, receiving a Sierra Mist Goal of the Week nomination for his diving-header effort. Planet Sub sandwiches and cookies will be provided to all media members who attend. Each Kansas City Wizards practice will still be open to media, and outlets are encouraged to take advantage of the Wizards media policy.

Zona Wizards Airs Live Thursday on La Playa 1480 AM, Time Warner Cable Channel 5

Zona Wizards, the weekly Spanish-language radio and TV show, will air live this Thursday at 2 p.m. on La Playa 1480 AM and Time Warner Cable Channel 5. Hosted by Enrique Morales and Raul Villegas, Zona Wizards will feature a player each week.

Wizards Weekly to Air Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Wizards Weekly, Kansas City's weekly magazine show covering the Wizards will feature Head Coach Curt Onalfo and a player each week. Metro Sports will air Wizards Weekly three times per week.

What: The Kansas City Wizards have teamed up with Providence Medical Center to hold a private coaching clinic for KCK area high school coaches, focusing on technique and conditioning.

Hartman to Read His Book Boots Saves the Day Thursday at Plaza Library

Who: GK Kevin Hartman

When: Thursday, August 14; 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Where: Plaza Library, Kansas City, MO

What: Kevin Hartman will be participating in the Plaza Library's end of the Summer Reading Program by reading his book, Boots Saves the Day, for the children and then signing autographs. His book will also be available to purchase on site.
