Kansas City Wizards Announce Playoff Push Ticket Package
September 14, 2010 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Sporting Kansas City News Release
The Kansas City Wizards launched a special Playoff Push ticket package on Monday for the team's four remaining home games in the 2010 regular season. The $60 package includes one bleacher ticket to each of the final four home games at CommunityAmerica Ballpark and also comes with priority consideration for purchasing 2010 playoff tickets, should the Wizards advance to the postseason.
The $60 ticket offer allows supporters to buy bleacher tickets to all of the Wizards final four games for the price of just three games, and ensures a seat in advance as tickets sell fast for the final four chances to see the Wizards play at home in the 2010 regular season.
The Playoff Push ticket package can be purchased by calling 888-4KC-GOAL, or purchased online at the ticket promotion page on TicketMaster .
Kansas City is currently in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings, one point back of Toronto FC and four points out of the final playoff position, held by the Seattle Sounders. The Wizards have played two less games than both Seattle and Toronto though, and will have a prime opportunity to make up ground as they enter a stretch of three games in seven days in the coming week.
A strong home field advantage could prove pivotal for Kansas City in their remaining four home games as they look to return to the postseason for the third time in four years. The home schedule features back-to-back games next week, as the Wizards host the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday, September 22 and FC Dallas on Saturday, September 25, followed by the final two home fixtures in October against the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, October 9 and the regular season finale versus San Jose on Saturday, October 23.
The Wizards will face opponents currently in playoff position in the final three 2010 regular season games at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, where Kansas City is 5-3-3 this season and 17-11-13 over the last three years. The Wizards are 130-70-39 at home all-time.
Please note: The Kansas City Wizards match against the Houston Dynamo has been moved to Wednesday, September 22nd at 7:30 p.m. CT at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Tickets can be purchased by visiting KCWizards.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL. The Wizards are also now accepting initial payments for season tickets for the 2011 season, highlighted by the debut of Chivas Guadalajara star and Mexico international Omar Bravo, and the opening of Kansas City's state-of-the-art soccer stadium next summer.
